Leon looked over his shoulder to her with a weak smile “I can’t help it, can you?” He mused simply as he brought over the plates to their seats, setting hers in front before he took is own spot. “I’m sorry, my mind is going all sorts of places…” He let out a deep breath while he stirred in some cream into his coffee.
His last had ended up on the floor, which he noticed he needed to clean up. The spoon resting still in his mug before he headed down onto the floor to pick up the broken mug.
She hadn’t expected him to return her question. Crimson eyes lowered for the briefest of moments, though her mind raced. Of course she couldn’t help it. She may not have been a trained warrior in the way he was, but she was still a warrior nonetheless.
